The Learning for All project is proud to launch its Benchmarking Tool, a practical self-assessment designed to help adult education organisations measure and improve how inclusive and accessible their programmes are, particularly for migrant, refugee, and marginalised learners.
This tool forms part of our Work Package 2 (WP2) efforts to promote structural change within adult education systems. It has been developed with input from educators and adult learning professionals across Europe, ensuring it is grounded in real challenges and practical realities.
What does the tool assess?
Organisations are guided through six key areas that are central to inclusive practice:
Outreach, Communication & Recruitment
Support Services for Learners
Curricular Innovation & Inclusive Pedagogies
Staff Training & Development
Collaboration with Social Partners & Stakeholders
Evaluation & Measurement
Each area includes clear questions with simple scoring options. After completing the tool, organisations receive a personalised feedback report, with visual scoring graphs and practical guidance on how to improve each area
Why use it?
Assess your current strengths and gaps in inclusive education
Identify priority areas for improvement
Access signposted resources to guide your next steps
Track progress over time as your practices evolve
Whether you're just beginning your inclusivity journey or seeking to deepen existing efforts, the Benchmarking Tool is an excellent starting point.
Continuous Improvement
As the project develops further learning resources (WP3 and WP4), the tool’s feedback reports will be updated to link directly to these new materials. This ensures organisations can take immediate action based on their results.
